June 2015

Noah finished up his first school year at Challenger this last month. They did a Circus Days theme for the last day, and Noah told me he wanted to be "the tiger that jumps through the hoops." He loved his teachers Miss Brenda and Miss Becky a lot and signed thank you cards for them. We are looking for to the new school year in August but glad to have a break for summer.

HAHA best class picture. At least Noah is smiling...

Grandma Nancy gave us memberships to the Aquarium as a gift, so we've been going at least once a month since. We went right after his last day of school. They were feeding the otters, which is super neat to see them so active. Noah's favorite is a tie between the sharks and the penguins right now. We will see if that stays the same.

We've been getting into water somehow every week this summer. Our favorite is the Mountain View Park splash pad, although a new one just opened up in Sandy that we will have to check out.  His cute friend Dylan also threw a fun pool party in his backyard earlier this month.

We attempted a night in the tent last weekend, but it was honestly just too hot to sleep out there. Noah would have been up until 11:00 when it finally starts cooling down. So after setting the tent up outside, we ended up dragging it inside and watched a movie. We need to go camping for real this summer, and it's on my summer bucket list. Until then, inside camping is just as fun.

I got to see Ingrid Michaelson twice this month! She is my all time favorite performer, and I had so much fun with these gals seeing her in SLC.

I also got to see her perform with the Denver Symphony with Ben Folds at Red Rocks Amphitheater for our 5th anniversary. It was a quick trip, but we enjoyed spending a solid 16 hours in a car together. We haven't had that much time together in a while. I can't believe we've been married for 5 years. It's the first "big" chunk of time, so it was fun to do something to celebrate it. Ingrid and Ben were INCREDIBLE. The amphitheater was gorgeous, too.

I am back at treks with This Is The Place. It is probably my favorite thing to do, but boy it was HOT for this trek last weekend. I am so grateful for air conditioning. And ice cream after treks.

We announced we are expecting a baby boy this December! I started to go through newborn clothes of Noah's before we found out the gender, and I became very nostalgic for a boy. I wanted to use all the adorable clothes in great condition again! I'm very thrilled I will be able to. Also, was Noah seriously this small once?! He is growing like weed this year. He gained two inches from December to May. (Growing pains at 3:00am are just the best...not.) We cannot wait for this little man to get to us. Preview of his name: LD.

His cute little profile melts my heart! I want to hold him already.
Noah is so excited. He was the only person who guessed boy before we found out the gender. He just kept saying, "I gonna have a baby broda!!"

June went by SO fast. I feel like we did so much yet had no time to do anything. I'm excited for July's holidays and the prep for Katie's wedding! Count down is only 6 weeks!
