Easter kicked off our April this year! Noah really loved the neighborhood egg hunt and getting new books and a couple new toys. We also dyed eggs and used them up for deviled eggs later. Yum.
I don't get out to many concerts nowadays, but I love trying my best to get to one of L'Anarchiste's shows. Rob and his bandmates have worked their butts off to make some amazing music. I highly suggest them to anyone!
My yoga practice was becoming such an integral part of my everyday. I miss it so much. (I've been taking a break during my first trimester to be extra safe for this baby.)
We had a few Sundays in a row that weren't regular block hours, so we took the extra afternoon time to go on a hike one of them. It was the perfect temperature. I wish we had more time to do this more often!
We went to the Natural History Museum's free day in April with Jenn and William. This picture perfectly describes Noah in a museum. He finishes in under an hour.
We had a major snow storm in April, so before it melted, we got out to do some building. This is Charlie the Second.
Noah had his first teeth cleaning. (Previous attempts were failures. He wouldn't even open his mouth until this time.) He did such a great job! They polished his teeth and he didn't have any cavities! Way to go Noah!
Because we love Scheels...here is yet another Ferris Wheel picture.
We found a really fun park near our dentist. I made the mistake of scheduling myself on a different day than Noah. We didn't make the mistake again when scheduling our future appointment.
We took a trip to This Is The Place with our friends Carla and Dylan in April. The baby animals were out and about, so it was extra fun!
Noah had a decent fall at school back in April. He tripped, and the little boy running behind him fell on top of him pushing his face into the asphalt. This caused his lips to swell and damaged his two front teeth. They have darkened quite a bit since then, but our dentist said they will be fine. We are fortunate they didn't fall out! He was so sad. Nothing ice cream couldn't fix!
I love it when Noah dresses himself. He comes up with the funniest outfits. This time he came into my room and said through this nacho mask, "Where's my...pants?"
A common occurrence-a blue tongue. Every time we get anything special, he will always choose blue.
We were so lucky to spend some extra time with the adorable Dial kids. Baby Addison had a few doctors visits, so the older kid came over to play with us! I love the Dials SO much, and I just don't even want to think about the possibility (the "most likely," actually) of them leaving Utah next year. Ethan has been such a great friend for Noah.
Instead of a Mother's Day or Father's Day tree for May and June, I suggested we do a baseball tree. Right after I said that, Noah shouted, "A Mariners tree!!" Seattle sports is our family's thing, I guess. We love the Mariners!!
One of the most exciting parts of April is that I got Lasik surgery on my eyes! It is SO amazing to wake up and not have to worry about putting on glasses or itchy contacts ever again. Such an investment in something that I really have been wanting for a long time.
Another exciting part of April was seeing these two pink lines! I could not believe it. We had sort of slowed down on trying so I wouldn't be too pregnant for our sister's wedding, but this baby had other plans! I cried with excitement and with fear. I think I may have held my breath for 13 whole weeks to get out of that "scary" time when miscarriages are more likely. I feel so blessed to have gotten pregnant and to still be pregnant this time around.
