Since the majority of our May we were in Florida, this post is basically a photo dump from our trip! We had such a great time visiting my dad. Noah loves his Papa D so much!!
First, this is Papa Doug's new shed aka Noah's new imaginary play land. He will hang out there for hours with his construction toys.
Before we left, Noah had his school's spring program. He was such a grump! I knew he knew the songs and actions because he practiced them at home, but for some reason, he just was not feeling it. (We found out why the next day...)
The day after his program we boarded the plane to Florida!
The entire flight he was gagging and coughing so bad. He didn't show any signs of feeling sick until we were on the plane. I was getting really worried about him because he was acting like he was struggling to breathe at times.
We made the decision to take him to the hospital as soon as we landed. Good thing we did. He was in respiratory distress. I was terrified, honestly. They diagnosed him with croup, gave him a steroid treatment to help his lungs and throat, then watched him for a few hours to make sure the medicine was kicking in. We were at the hospital until 3:00am, but they finally let us go home (to my dad's house). He was just so sad, completely NOT himself. I just wanted to hold him the whole time to take away his pain.
But the treatments worked! After 14 hours of sleep, he woke up completely normal, besides a scratchy sounding voice. The power of prayer and the priesthood is real! I was so grateful he felt better so quickly so that we all could enjoy our vacation. The first few days we kept it low key and slow so he could get the rest he needed to make a full recovery. A day on the boat and island beach, just hanging out in the pool. Lots of fun!!
(My funky sunburn...now my tan line. Ugh)
We went to the Daytona Tortugas baseball game. It was a gut buster game, all you can eat hotdogs, pizza, and cheeseburgers.
I stupidly forgot to pack garments, so on our way to Disney World, we stopped by the Orlando Temple to pick some up. It's such a gorgeous temple!
DISNEY WORLD!!
After 3 days in Disney World, we came back to my dad's for some more beach going fun.
We love our Florida family! Cannot wait to get out there next year with a new baby in tow.
