Noah Update

My baby boy is growing up way too quickly. I am really loving the person he is becoming. His smiles warm my heart right up every single day! Here are many pictures of his growing rolls and personality:
I love his "I'm about to laugh" smile. SO cute.
Two month stats (as of 01/09/12)
Weight: 76 Percentile at 13.45 pounds
Length: 61 Percentile at 23.62 inches
Head: 68 Percentile at 15.8 inches

He isn't huge, but he is a big guy from what the doctor was telling me. He certainly doesn't miss a meal.
Noah got his first round of shots at this doctor's appointment. I was so worried he would be miserable and fussy for days like I've heard other babies doing. He cried mostly from the shock of the needles, calmed down in two minutes, latched on to nurse, and was fine. I could tell his body probably was achy for the next couple of days. He really was fighting to fall asleep. Since his shots he has continued to fight sleeping, but boy  once he is asleep, he's out!

Nicknames
NCK, The N Man, Bubba (daddy's favorite), No-ster, Mr. Poops, Little Man, Little Guy, and I still call him Sweet Cheeks.

I love his reaction to his dad calling him any of the above or whatever Craig is feeling at the time. Noah gets the biggest grin with his daddy. When Craig gets home from school/work he does what he calls "The Mirror Dance." He takes Noah in his arms and bounces him in front of our full body mirror. Noah LOVES this. Noah has laughed a few times now, and two times were while doing the mirror dance. It is adorable to see daddy-son bonding times like this.

Noah is starting to love toys. With some help, he grasps rattles and teething toys. He loves the links that I put on his bouncer with the frog. {See previous post about the frog trick.} We recently got him a library card. (There is no age limit.) He loves bright pictures in the books we've been picking out for him. His biggest reaction so far was to a book called "I Dreamt I was a Dinosaur" by Stella Blackstone and Clare Beaton. The illustrations are photos of felt and beaded dinosaurs. It's pretty neat. We think he likes dinosaurs a lot because he has had a few big reactions to dinosaur related toys, blankets, etc.
Grandma Knight got him this Baby Einstein jumper. At first he was a little too small and it bothered him, but now he loves it!

I have observed something quite interesting with the way people react to Noah. Without fail, some stranger comes up to me and tells me how much hair Noah has. As I look at other infants his age, not many have as much hair as Noah or any hair at all. His hair is usually out of control, especially on the days he gets a bath. I really hope he continues to keep all of it! He going slightly bald on the crown from laying on it, but it really is still so thick!
Gotta love that hair!
The weather has been so freakishly warm this "winter" in Utah. I have a love affair with snow, and I think I'm getting depressed because it hasn't snowed more. (I know most people are the other way around...) The benefit of having it be so warm is that I have been able to take so many walks with Noah. I still bundle him up really well, even if I am okay with a light jacket. He usually falls asleep on our walks-whether it's in the stroller or the Ergo carrier. (I LOVE MY ERGO!)

Such a happy boy!

Papa Knight loves having Noah come to the BYU Basketball games. Noah likes to go! I totally thought that they would be way too loud for him, and that he would cry, but he likes the loud, obnoxious students behind us in the student section. More recently he has been able to track and focus better with his eyes, so he follows the players as they play. Noah's learning young to bleed blue!

Little man in his plaid
The force is strong with this one.
Noah is pretty good at church. Since moving to the 11:00 block, he's been a little more fussy. It's when his two main naps and "lunch" feeding is, so I don't blame him. He is definitely cute when we get him dressed up for it! Our ward loves him already.

My favorite thing that Noah does now is sing with me! It makes me SO giddy. I have a desire for all my children to love and appreciate music, but I would love it even more if they can sing and/or play music! Every morning I wake him up with a few songs. No matter what we start off with the girl's camp song "Noah." He is just so stinkin' happy in the morning! I'm so grateful he has been such an excellent sleeper.

We love our Noah!!

So great you are documenting all of this! We used to get the same reaction about Robby's hair. Everyone thought he was older because of it. Noah is seriously squeezable...fun watching your journey as a mommy! Keep up with that book reading. You should look for "Smile-a-saurus--A book about Feelings" Each of my kids have loved this dinosaur book expecially when I sound like the feeling as I read.
