Since late October, watching ABC's new show "Once Upon A Time" has made me a huge fan of Ginnifer Goodwin. Even more than her sweetness and good acting, I love her hair. This was when I first got the itch, you know, that moment when you really just want to chop off all your hair.
The first cut was in November. I had quite long hair, so I didn't want to chop off to a pixie right away. I liked it, but every time I saw Ginnifer, I envied her hair.
I started searching for the "right" Pixie cut for my face shape. I grew to like a couple styles. I love that Pixies can be playful and fun, yet can turn around to be elegant and classy.

I had my appointment made; I was ready! (Apparently my sister-in-law and I think a lot alike. We both cut our hair the same week. She also got a Pixie. Her hair was even longer than mine was last year!) After I cut it, it took about a week to grow on me. My stylist cut the back a bit shorter than I was expecting-my hair was shorter than my husband's! It's grow out a bit, and it is laying better now. I can't believe I did it.
It has been a nice change for me. I will say that Pixie cuts have the appearance of being low maintenance, but it is definitely the opposite. You have to do your hair every day-no more "throw it in a ponytail" type of days. It makes me feel better when I get ready for the day, though.
