The Nursery

The fun begins. I have been so excited to start getting our little guy his things. I have been blessed already! My sweet dad sent us a crib. I was so surprised and couldn't be more grateful!

This is the crib he got us.
We also have a stroller and an infant car seat already, too.

I have been trying really hard to stick to pretty neutral colors for the large items. I know that we will end up using these things again someday, and that someday might bring us a girl. I didn't want to risk getting super gender specific things.

I really love the simplicity of this crib bedding. I like that it's neutral, but not an ugly yellow duck or something like that.

Of course there is this person inside of me that wants to completely be a geek and allow my geek of a husband to help me choose the nursery decor. I know he'd love something like this:

I would have to get the crib bedding custom made because I have yet to find a place that sells Star Wars bedding for cribs.

I am now 18 weeks! I am participating in a study for the hospital, so I get to have 3 extra ultrasounds. It is so neat to see my son each time I go. This last week the doctor tried to do a 3D image of his face, but I guess he is camera shy! His hands were in front of his face the whole time. I am starting to really feel like I look pregnant, rather than just chubby. Here is a shot of the "baby bump" at the tail end of 17 weeks.

I am so anxious to meet this little dude already! This summer is going to end up being so long because of it! I suppose I will keep busy with pioneer treks and other youth programs up at This Is The Place. Life is good. Craig and I are so blessed! I can't wait to feel Baby Knight kick. I haven't felt a for sure "that was a kick!" from him yet, just little, tiny grumbles and flutters. I know one thing for sure-I love him so much already!

Oh what a cute little bump! Your life will never be the same. Bring on the sleepless nights, spit-up, confusion, and out right joy!
