September 2015

September is the beginning of my absolute most favorite time of the year. This month went by quicker than the summer months felt. We are packed full with school for Craig and me. Craig also works 40 hours on top of his 13 credit hours, so sometimes it feels like we only see him on the weekends.

I had the opportunity to take some photos for little Harper's first birthday party. I think she had a good time, wouldn't you say? She is seriously SO dang cute, and I was happy to take a million pictures for her mom to have.

The best part about September is the cooler weather. HAHA It has stayed pretty darn warm in these parts. We've had a few days here and there with rain which brings the temperature down a bit. I'm just so ready to wear big sweaters, probably because that's the only thing in my "normal" wardrobe that would still fit me right now. I also tend to swell a lot more when it's hot. Bring on the cold weather, hot chocolate and sweats! (I may not be able to wear my boots this year....boohoo)

BYU FOOTBALL SEASON IS IN FULL SWING. Noah loves his Cougars. He is excited to go to a game, but so far all the home games have been pretty late at night. Hopefully one will come up a little earlier so he can go.

We went straight to the next "big" holiday for our holiday tree this month. Halloween is one Noah really, really enjoys. Pumpkins, ghosts, and costumes-he loves it all.

I guess the good thing about the weather staying so warm is that this dude can be outside. He is obsessed with dirt and all the bugs inside of it. We kept a jar of worms for a week or two, even. He loves them.

This semester has been by far my most stressful workload EVER in college. I think being pregnant isn't helping, for sure, but I've never had so much busy work in my entire college career. My teachers are nuts. I am praying I can get through this semester with at least a B average and alive. Maybe one or the other. We will see. BUT I am so grateful to be continuing my education, and I hope one day my children will appreciate the efforts I made to help improve their lives.

Even when I've finished up the season, I can't stay away from This Is The Place. Noah loves the trains far too much.

Baby L is growing! I'm getting pretty uncomfortable these days. I compare pictures of when I was pregnant with Noah, and I'm not even close to how big I was with him this time around. He has hiccups about 4-5 times a day, and he's moving up higher into my ribs. I feel him move a lot all the time. I hope that is no indication of how he will sleep when he is out. I swear is he consistently moving. This is me at 27 weeks. Noah has been taking my "bump pics," so I thought I'd include what a majority of the pictures he takes look like. He likes taking videos and pictures, so I thought I'd help him learn how to do it better.

My view of the bump.

We took a Saturday afternoon to go up to Snowbird for Oktoberfest this month. I love the food and the music. (Seeing very drunk people is quite amusing, as well.) Noah loved dancing the polka and eating the waffles on a stick. He especially loved the ride on the lift back to our car.

Noah cute friend, Ethan, celebrated his 4th birthday. They went to see a movie together with Ethan's dad. I just love these boys together. Noah really loves Ethan and talks about how he will get to be 4 just like Ethan one day.

One very sad day in late September, my beloved Escape (es-cap-e) named Dori decided she was finished. The transmission blew, and the repair was more than she's worth. I've been able to drive her for 6 years or so, so naturally my heart was broken. Fortunately, I've been able to borrow my father-in-law's car to get around the last couple weeks while we search and shop around for another vehicle. I think we are sticking with another small crossover type of car, but the appeal of the minivan is calling me.... Is it worth it with just two kids? I just don't like the idea of having two car seats and not being able to fit a passenger between them. I've done a lot of research, but we won't buy until we are 100% what to get. For now....Goodbye my sweet Dori....

September 25th was Cowboy Day at Noah's preschool. They get to dress up and had s'mores and helped save someone from bandits. It was a very fun day for him.

September 25th also marked another year older for myself. My mom got me some gorgeous daisies and this perfect necklace. I love the story "Guess How Much I Love You." She used to read it to me when I was younger. I really do love her to the moon and back!! While Noah was at school, I treated myself to a blowout and scalp massage. It was very nice, to say the least. I really needed some me time.

Craig and his dad and brother flew off to Michigan on my birthday, so my sweet friend and her aunt took me out to dinner at The Wild Rose in South Jordan. It was seriously such amazing food, and I always enjoy the Orton's company. I love them so much!!

Vegan Jessi didn't want the cake, so this was her dessert. It made me laugh.

The very next day was a long day at Comic Con! I always enjoy dressing up like a witch for This Is the Place and hanging out with the crazies that love Comic Con. The cosplay (costumes) are always so amazing (or so...um....revealing...). These Cinderella costumes are handmade!

Supernatural is one of my favorite TV shows, and they had the Impala at CC! I got excited. Next time, let's bring Jensen and Jared, okay?!

Reagan and I wanted a glitter tattoo a lot last con we were at together. We never found the booth. So this time, we made sure to know exactly where it was so we could get them. She got Belle's rose. I got the Green Arrow. #whenatcomiccon

Um, there are probably 4-5 celebrities that are on my list of "MUST MEET ONE DAY." Ian Somerhalder from Vampire Diaries is definitely high on that list. It was a birthday dream come true. He is so kind, so huggable (and huggy), and SO BEAUTIFUL. He looks fake in this picture, but that's just because he looks that good in person. I was so giddy meeting him.

We definitely had a lot of fun. If you want to come join us (and hold a snake or something), come to the Witches' Ball this Friday, October 9th. More information at http://www.thisistheplace.org/todays-fun/witches-ball.html

We let Noah stay up to watch the Blood Moon eclipse. He really loved it, and he still talks about the red moon.

Tony has had his front loader parked in his driveway for a week or two now, and Noah has to go see it at least once a day, just to "make sure it's still there." This boy and his construction stuff....

We didn't get to do a ton of family stuff this last month. It has been so hard with our schedules. Now that we are in midterms this week, we have next week to look forward to fall break and playing catch up. We also suddenly realize how much we have to do to get ready for Baby L, who arrives in just 9 short weeks! Our prayers is that ending school and his arrival will finally bring some stress relief for us. For now, we will keep doing our very best to get through it!
