Taking Stock

There is a little "list" going around the blogging world, and I really like it. I like the idea of giving some everyday details to remember how you were at that moment in your life. It's called Taking Stock, created by "Meet Me At Mike's." I haven't blogged in forever, but I feel like I needed a little corner to express some feelings. I'll play some catch up of my family, as well. First, let's take stock!

Making : Pumpkin cookies for Craig's birthday (his favorite)
Cooking : Not much. I've been so bad about menu planning the last couple months. I did cook mac & cheese for Noah if that counts.
Drinking : Lots of water. Lots of hot chocolate.
Reading: (Well, audiobook listening...) "Yes Please" by Amy Poehler
Wanting: THESE shoes
Looking: At the mile long list of homework to get done as this semester is wrapping up
Playing: With garbage trucks because tomorrow is garbage day. You don't do that? That's a shame.
Wasting: Time watching my favorite TV shows (Castle, The Originals and Supernatural tonight)
Sewing: Sewing? People sew? Haha I need lessons. It's one talent I cannot say I have.
Wishing: I could get over being so dang tired.
Enjoying: Listening to Noah talk to me. I love when I'm doing something and he yells at me, "TALK TO ME, MOM!" He is a good reminder to put [insert phone, homework, dishes, laundry, etc.] down and spend time with him.
Waiting: To register at the University of Utah for Spring semester
Liking: Taylor Swift. A lot.
Wondering: If I could have prevented my miscarriage
Loving: This colder weather. Sweaters are my favorite!
Hoping: I can get Christmas shopping done quickly to enjoy all the extra time I'll have this year with my family!
Marveling: God. Always. His plans are so much better for me than my own. It amazes me every time I have a set plan, and He changes it. While it usually stinks in the midst of a trial or "change in course," I always look back SO grateful for His hand in my life.
Needing: A full body massage. (Christmas present idea! ;) )
Smelling: Aforementioned pumpkin cookies
Wearing: Purple and blue striped pajama pants and a comfy t-shirt-classic Jeanette nighttime wear.
Following: Pentatonix on Facebook. I love their new Christmas EP!!
Noticing: My split ends. I swear I just got a haircut.
Knowing: I have amazing friends and family. My support system is unreal. Seriously. I love you guys.
Thinking: "Should I go to bed early or get one more assignment done?"
Feeling: Humble.
Bookmarking:  Math help.
Opening: Cumorah's Hill score. I'm so excited for the youth in my stake. It is going to be an amazing production.
Giggling: Not a ton this last week. Well, except while listening to "Yes Please." Amy Poehler is a giggling genius.
Feeling: Ready for a change.
Alright. There's that. Now, enjoy our annual family pictures. Thank you to Kelly at Gallery Photography for being our family's official photographer. (He became official as this is the 5th time shooting pictures for us.)

By the way, it was Craig's birthday yesterday. He turned 27. We went on our very first date exactly 10 years ago this December. I am SO grateful for this amazing journey we've gone on together. I love him more and more.
