Family Home Evening to Remember

So I was going to do a post about Lake Powell, but I have an even better story!!
Monday night was basically the best night ever. I am so excited to share this with everybody.
So Nick, me, and a bunch of our mutual friends usually get together on Monday nights to have FHE. Our family home evenings consist of a lesson given by one of the friends, then food, and games or a movie...something fun.
Not this Monday. I had a surprise waiting for me that was completely unexpected. Nick had informed me earlier that the FHE would be up Butterfield Canyon. So we drive up there. The lesson was given by Kevin. He taught about how to write a missionary. I love to write missionaries, so I really enjoy the lesson. (Side note: Kevin is leaving on his mission in September. I'm way excited for him.) So after he talks about it, he gives each of us paper and a pen to write a missionary we know.

As I was writing, I started noticing the friends were leaving, slowly trickling off towards the green truck... A while went by, and I realized the only people left were Nick and me. The truck had left and gone up a dirt road to the top of the mountain. Nick eventually said let's go up there. So we get into his car, go up the hill, and stop behind the truck. Nick takes me by the hand and tells me to come up a really steep hill trail thing. We got to the top to find a "table for two" and his cute friends wearing this:

The table had candles and flowers with china and everything. There was a sign that said "Cafe a la Mount." The menu had all of my favorite food. The drinks were Dr. Pepper-my absolute favorite. Each of his friends had fake silly names like Harold, Becky, Antonio, Olga, and Ana. They had accents. It was just so cute! They sang to us, took pictures, and served all the food.

After eating a dessert of Frosty's, we get the bill (the bottom says, "The look on my face when you say Yes...Priceless"):

I read it and look to Nick, who is on his knee holding out the most gorgeous ring in the world.

He told me, "Jeanette, you make me so happy. You make me the happiest man in the world. Would you make me happy forever?"

I said yes! I love him so much, and I am so excited to spend eternity with him. We have chosen to be married in the Salt Lake Temple on November 21, 2008.

Here is a video of the evening. I am so excited!!
