I am completely aware that these next few posts are photo dumps, but we had a blast in Florida over Thanksgiving. I wanted to be sure to include everything!
Noah really loves anything vehicles that moves-cars, trains, planes-you name it. His love for planes grew exponentially after getting to fly on one.
We made the smart decision to bring his carseat onto the plane with us. He was buckled in and comfy the whole ride. Minus him kicking the seat in front of him only a few times, to which we apologized immediately and reprimanded him for, the flight to and from Florida were great.
It was still pretty chilly in Daytona Beach, but it felt a LOT warmer than Utah. We enjoyed being outside and soaking up what sun we could. One beach had a full park playground, and the lifeguard's station was right next to it. Noah helped himself up to the lifeguard's flag. The guy was really nice and let him play with it.
The water was really, really cold in my dad's pool, but that didn't stop Noah from playing in it and getting soaked almost every time he did.
Noah found a new love of "blocks" (Legos) at my dad's house. He is really impressive when he builds things! When we got home from Florida, he got his Megabloks out and built a "house" (garage) for his cars. It actually looked really good!
We got to go out on Papa D's boat a couple times. Noah LOVES the boat.
Noah and cousin Conner are great friends. They had fun playing together. I wish we had more time to spend with him. (Noah got Hand, Foot, and Mouth while at Disney World, so Conner stayed away for good reason the rest of the trip.)
We got to spend lots of time with the Gertschs. Noah and Sam love each other so much. I love those boys together. It was so great seeing and spending time with my best friend, Jessi, too.
Craig made a small, 3 day detour to Chicago only after being in Florida for a day. Doug, Ryan, and Craig got to attend the BYU vs Notre Dame football game. It's a tradition in his family, so it was good to see the boys have some time to spend together. Unfortunately, BYU lost. Craig says, "It was still worth it!" (It was REALLY cold for them.)
Rather than paying for shipping on our East Coast family, we decided to do a little Christmas gift exchange. The kids sure loved to get some new toys before Christmas!
We were able to spend some time with my Grandpa John and his lovely wife, Joanne. Noah is so lucky to have so many Great Grandparents who love to see him. They gave us some comfy Christmas pajamas. We enjoy yummy food and laughter that evening. (I'm sharing lots of pictures with them that I had on my phone in this picture below.)
Four generations of Greenlees.
After the fire station (see separate post), we had lunch with my dad in downtown Orlando. We have a thing for large chairs ever since Cornbelly's.
My dad loved being with Noah. They became best buddies this trip, for sure. We are looking forward to being with them soon.
Another fun boat day....
Best friends saying goodbye...
