Noah's First Birthday

Yeah, yeah. I'm very behind. Trust me. It's been haunting me that I haven't gone through these pictures and made a post for his "scrapbook." So, without further ado, I give you Noah's First Birthday.
We did a "Where The Wild Things Are" theme, and Noah dressed as Max-King of the Wild Things. I bought a hooded white sleeper and added the wolf features. It was my first real sewing experience, and I felt like it turned out really well!
 Noah loves his Auntie Katie.

Craig doesn't dress up, but I at least got him to wear this. He is GMale. (Get it?)
 Princesses in action.

My sweet grandparents came and gave Noah one of his favorite toys-a firetruck that he can ride around on.
Nancy and I made two different kinds of soup-Tomato Basil and Butternut Squash. We did mini grilled cheese sandwiches to go with the soup. The food turned out so delicious!

Noah's amazing cake made by Mandy from Baking with Blondie. I loved it, and it tasted SOOO good.
My failed attempt to make a smash cake. I wanted it to be sugar free for Noah's sake, but trust me when I say this-NEVER go with sugar free frosting. It tastes like plastic.

He loved opening his gifts. Thank you to all that came and made the party such a huge success.

Craig scared Noah by blowing the candle a little too hard. Noah wanted nothing to do with that cake after that. We tried to get him to at least taste it, though. I expected him to get so messy, too.
Craig's grandma, Judy, flew in from California for the weekend of Noah's birthday party. It was her first time meeting Noah, and I was so happy she could make the trip. Hopefully we'll be able to get to California this summer sometime to visit her some more!
