The N Man is growing. Fast. WAY. Too. Fast. It's just an incredible thing. I love every new thing he learns to do, every milestone he makes. It is just beautiful. He is beautiful. I can't believe he is nine months old!
I always check on him right before I go to bed. I make sure he's alive (that must be a mom thing) and give him a kiss. Recently, more nights than not, I find him like this. His little booty high in the air. I don't know how he can breathe with his face buried into the mattress, but he sleeps like a rock! It's so fun to see the new sleep position he will come up with.
He is standing using anything. He loves to stand on our TV stand the most. He plays with his little toys in the square shelves. He also loves the PBS Kids show "Super Why." I let him watch an episode in the morning right after breakfast. He gets so excited when he hears the theme song and does this dance, giggle, pant-like-a-dog thing. It's adorable.
He continues to be a great eater. He is starting to beg for table food, which is half good, half bad. I just don't want him to get used to getting only the food he wants, but it's a good thing he will eat (and enjoy) the food Craig and I eat. His favorite foods as of late are yogurt (any flavor so far) and cheerios (like any 9 month old). On the 24th of July, Nana Knight got nitrate/nitrite free hot dogs, and N Man loves them. I will have to get a package next grocery trip.
The kid loves water. Every time we turn the water on for a shower or his tug, he crawls as fast as he can to get to the bathroom. I feel like he lives for his baths. And swimming pools are even cooler. I'm so glad we got a Seven Peaks season pass. He loves that place.
Summer in Salt Lake City means Twilight Concert Series. Craig and I have been coming to the series for at least two years now. Noah came in utero last summer, and we were so excited to bring him this year. Taking precautions for N Man's hearing, we purchased some nice Baby Banz earmuffs. He tried to take them off at first, but once he got used to them, he had a great time (and looked ridiculously cute doing so, may I add).
He is still a skinny little dude. He weighs about 17 pounds. His legs are chicken legs, that's for sure. That's doesn't stop him from crawling and cruising around like crazy. He has even started to climb. He is one brave guy.
He figured out how to flush the toilet and gut laughed after doing it. It's so humorous to discover what makes his laugh going.
He says "Ma" and "Mum" a lot. He also can do "BahBahBah," usually while lip buzzing, and had done "Dada" on occasion.
He is so social already! He loves crawling right up to babies and toddlers ready to play. Sam, my best friend's three year old, makes N Man laugh like no one else can. I love to see the way they react to each other. He just met Ethan, the 10 month old baby of one of Craig's mission buddies, and he had such a fun time playing with toys and crawling all around with him. I can tell he will be good at making friends.
He has been on this earth as long as he was in my belly. It was only 18 months ago that my world began to change for the better. I can't express in words the joy this boy gives me. I am so in love.
