PRECAMP WEEK

Oh man! This week was a blast. We had lots to do to get ready for the campers that are coming up next week!

Singing the name song

Waiting for our friends and family to arrive...wind blown hair style

THE BACKDROP! This was certainly a tender mercy from Father in Heaven! I am no artist, and Zazzy isn't really either. We got on our knees before we worked on it each time, and a masterpiece came from it. I'm proud of our hard work!

My dear friends came to pick me up!

PUDDING FIGHT!!

Good ol' ash facials...does wonders for the skin

This is Steve the Slug on a rock...

Bear Grylls (a counselor) has these sweet glasses. I really enjoyed wearing them.

Roomie pictures! Oh how I love the specialists!!

(Sidenote: the sun was so bright so we look silly in this one.)

Our homemade knee pads for the backdrop.

Can I just tell you that I love Zazzy with all of my heart. She is the best roommate I've had, and it will be a privilege to spend my summer doing crafts with her! (This picture seriously sums up our new relationship...)

So as you can see, we had loads of fun in this jam packed week. I sure am so blessed to be at Oakcrest this summer. I am so grateful for the experiences I will have the opportunity to have. I know the Spirit resides in that camp. I love it! Until next week!

Hi Jeanette,
We miss you here in the ward. It was so wonderful when you came to sing with your friends a few weeks ago. (Sacrament Meeting). I love this post. I am a fan of Oakcrest. Two of my Daughters and one Granddaughter so far have benefitted from the wonderful lessons learned there. I think my daughters in law have all been too. What gorgeous leaders you all are! I wish you the Lord's blessings as you embrace this wonderful work this summer. Love, Karren

I'm so glad you're having so much fun. Makes me kind of jealous... I wish I was a counselor! How's your CD working out for you?
